Princess and the Fog book launch

To celebrate the release of my first published book, The Princess and the Fog, I will be hosting a special event in Cafe Parisien in Portsmouth on July 17th where there will be food and drinks, some lovely chats, and a chance to buy the book at a special event-only discount price.

I will also be selling leftover copies of two of my self-published precursors to The Princess and the Fog, my Hole In Chest zines and Short Term Diaries.

I will also have up for grabs a special series of paintings that I've created just for this event: (please forgive the cameraphone photos, many of these were too thick with collage stuff to scan)

free art exhibition - success!

Sunday was a HUGE success. Who would have thought giving away stuff for free would be so rewarding, right? Massive props to My Dog Sighs for sparking the whole barmy idea, and to everyone who donated art, helped run the show and everyone who came to see it and take stuff.

Hello darlings. Today I thought I'd share with you some photos taken by Katie and Leila from our time at New Designers.

I should also mention that my Etsy shop now has things on it! It didn't have things on it but now it does. I will be adding more things to it when I have more things to add to it. We'll be running some more local fundraising shows soon to help pay back our loan for the New Designers fees, so I'll want to have as much work available for sale as possible.

mini canvases

Got some tiny canvases from Dave last week, decided to make some tiny collages last night. It's good to break out of your comfort zone every once in a while to get the creative juices flowing. Each one is just 7cm squared.
New Designers is next week! I will be exhibiting alongside a group of fellow Portsmouth Universrity Illustration graduates from the 6th of July to the 9th. Come by and check us out, if you can! It's gonna be a great show.

degree show progress, day like 5 or 6 or something

So, yeah, I forgot my camera on day 2, I was busy on day 3 and Blogger was down from day 4 but whatever! My show space is up and I think it looks pretty rad!!
Yeah!!!

The show is on from June 6 to June 11, 10am-4pm in the University of Portsmouth Eldon Building, Winston Churchill Avenue. Admission is free. Illustration is on the third floor.
