more lost musicians
More of these musicians! See the first batch here. I think these will go on sale soon. Would anybody be interested in buying prints of these? I have never done prints before but I will look into it if there is any interest!

Lost Musicians
A recent experiment depicting musicians of various genres getting lost in their craft. I was mostly just playing with colour. I think the saxophonist is my favourite.

Lifeline 1
The second of the Lifeline paintings. Same title and premise as before but this one features an old-timey deep sea diver! Wow!
Here are some close-ups. Click em to grow em:
Both of the Lifeline paintings will be in my Etsy shop shortly, after I've finalised some things (such as how the heck I would ship either of these)
They are both on big 39" x 16" x 1.5" panoramic canvases and they are handsome as all heck. Here they are hangin out together:

Licorice City - new set of paintings
Based on an old doodle I found in my sketchbook I've made this set of 3 paintings that form a panoramic cityscape. It is largely inspired by New York City which I consider my spiritual home and which inspires most of my cityscapes despite my never having been there. As such I have used the American spelling of the word 'liquorice' in the title, which alludes to the colour scheme and doesn't actually mean anything.
These are not for sale just yet because I may make some last-minute adjustments later. I'm not quite satisfied with this yet and I can't exactly discern why.

mega sketch dump
Haven't done one of these in a while. Just a big ol' mess of stuff from my sketchbook (June? ish? 2011 - present) that I haven't shown off anywhere else.
There's a lot here and I didn't want to scan it all so I just took some cheap and nasty photos. If you want a better quality version of anything you see here, shoot me an email or something and I'll be more than happy to oblige.
As always, click almost any image to make it bigger.
A sexy singer. Part of a series of paintings I was never satisfied with of different fictitious musicians across a variety of different genres. Might pick that up again at some point.
Boy and Girl from Connections. Still very much in love. This later became a gift for a friend.
An idea for a series of small minimalist paintings that make a panorama when positioned together. I should get around to doing this at some point as well.
Creepy. This one's probably inspired by this Ted talk.
A bunch of nonsense.
This guy's pretty pleased with himself, huh.
For some reason food and alcoholic drinks are some of my favourite things to draw. Something inherently funny about them, to me, that I just cannot put my finger on.
Another idea for a series of small paintings. "Stupid," apparently.
Might make a full painting of this one day.
Look at all this crazy junk.
This was made as part of a proposal for a guy looking for an illustrator to help create a body of work around conflict resolution in the workplace. I never heard anything back.
Boop.

Lifeline A / Space Baby
The first in a set of 2 paintings with the title 'Lifeline.' Completed today after a week or so struggling to get it to look halfway decent. Big thanks to twitpeeps @Jewelots_, @wutheringhugs, @therealped and @stulinfield for your super advice during the last few stages of it, and to everyone else who gave kind words of encouragement. I will put this up for sale at some point - possibly when the other Lifeline painting is finished.

There's A Hole In My Chest books now available.
My hit internet comic There’s A Hole In My Chest is now available in tiny handmade book format. It is super cute and super funny and would be a great gift for a sad friend or to keep for yourself to remind you that it’s okay to feel down sometimes but not to let it get the better of you.
Pick one up here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/110947957/theres-a-hole-in-my-chest If this run is successful I will make a second batch.

There's A Hole In My Chest
I made a comic. It is about living with depression. It's fairly long and Blogger's being entirely unhelpful so the best way to view it is to right-click (or ctrl+click) and select "view image" (or whatever)
Please share it with anyone else you know who has a hole in their chest or a scribbled-out face so they know that they're not alone.

butt zine
So the fine folks at this completely not work-safe tumblr are putting together a zine dedicated to all things butts. A more noble endeavor you'd be hard-pressed to come across, so naturally I wanted in. I came up with two things. This is they:
As of this writing I have no idea if these are going to actually be featured in the zine. But I like them. So maybe you also will like them? Hmm?
short term diary now available
The Short-Term Diary project is over! It is done and dusted. Thank you so much to everybody who participated and submitted feedback. You are all The Best. Without your help I would not be able to offer - for the stupid-low price of £1 apiece (+p&p) at least until I come to my senses - the finished versions of the Short Term Diary. Now available in the Shop.
There are THREE volumes of the Short Term Diary to collect. That’s three lovingly-hand-made 14-page diaries for those times when your head’s full of rubbish and you need to make sense of it all. I can almost sort of guarantee that after a fortnight with one of these things you will feel at least 120% more focused, refreshed, creative, happy and beautiful.
If there is enough demand for these I will make even more! Oh yes. You heard me. Volume 4? Volume 5??? Who knows what the future will hold.
I invested in some super-duper-expensive-and-fancy zine-making equipment to make these things the absolute best they can be, and they look just great.
Here’s a sneaky peek at what volume 1 looks like:
Volume 2 looks like this:
And this is volume 3!:
Each one is labelled and numbered on the inside-cover. If you want me to I will also sign it and/or draw something in it. Because why not.
So what the heck are you waiting for? Get over there and buy one! (Or buy all three, because you'll save on shipping.)
